U3-DSATA231 is USB 3.0 to Dual SATA Il (3Gb/s) RAID Bridge Board. It has an USB SuperSpeed device port and two SATA II (3Gbps) host ports.

Its USB 3.0 interface delivers super-high-speed data transfer of up to 5Gbps between the host PC and SATA storage devices such as hard disk drives.

U3-DSATA231 is a selectable hardware RAID Bridge Board for two SATA HDDs. A true hardware solution U3-DSATA231 requires no software to be installed on your machine.

It provides 4 hardware modes:

• RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
• RAID 1 (Mirroring): for two disks with same capacity.
• JBOD (Spanning): for two disks with different capacity.
• Normal (Dual Lun): Non-RAID.

RAID 0 (Striping):
By striping technique, U3-DSATA231 integrates two HDDs into a high performance drive.

JBOD (Spanning):
By spanning technique, U3-DSATA231 integrates two HDDs into a big drive.

RAID 1 (Mirroring):
By mirroring technique, U3-DSATA231 maintains data in two disk drives simultaneously and securely. If one drive fails, U3-DSATA231 automatically switches operations to the functional drive and alert the failure. Once a new HDD is installed to replace the defective drive, the U3-DSATA231 will automatic rebuild the entire HDD image in the background, while providing the un-interrupt data connection to the system.

 U3-DSATA231 is specifically designed for external USB 3.0 RAID HDD/SSD applications.
