USB 2.0 to ATA Mobile Rack with Read-only (Write Protect) Function

Introduction

U2-ATAMR21-WP is an USB 2.0 to ATA Mobile Rack designed to enable hot-swap, plug-and-play operation for 3.5" hard disk drive (ATA) through the connection to USB 2.0 interface which is installed on a computer. U2-ATAMR21-WP allows users to easily hot-swap 3.5" or 2.5 hard disk drive that is mounted in the Mobile Rack without interrupting the current operation. U2-ATAMR21-WP provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using hard disk drives.

The read-only (write protect) function provides the perfect solution for forensic application.

U2-ATAMR21-WP combines two key components:

2). Plastic and Mechanism

1). USB 2.0 to ATA Bridge Board:

USB 2.0 Interface: JST 5pin (pitch = 2.0 mm) compatible connector
USB Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport Specification Compliant.

No driver installation needed in Windows ME or above, Mac OS 9.x or above, and Linux (kernel 2.4.18 or above).
Windows 98 requires additional driver installation provided by request.

Easy-to-Eject pull handle with miniature key lock
Key lock + Power Switch allow U2-ATAMR21-WP Hot-swappable

Power indicator LED and HDD Access LED
